Ingredients
  • 2 pounds green apples (about 4 large apples), peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ⅔ cup water
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2-3 teaspoons raw honey
Instructions
  1. Combine all the ingredients, except for the honey, in a 2-quart saucepot. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Cover the pot, and lower the temperature to medium. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until the apples soften and begin to fall apart.
  2. Remove the sauce from the heat and allow it to cool for about 15 minutes before stirring in the honey.
  3. Applesauce can be served warm or cold. Refrigerate or freeze any leftovers.
