Almond Butter

Serves: ½ cup
  • 1 cup roasted almonds
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  1. Place the almonds and salt in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse 10 times, or until the nuts are chopped.
  2. Process continually for 2 minutes.
  3. Turn off the processor, scrape the sides, and continue to process until the mixture is the consistency of butter.
  4. Refrigerate.
* If you are using a coffee grinder, grind no more than ½ cup at a time.[br][br]Cook’s Note: If the butter is not quite smooth enough for you, add 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil to the mixture, and continue to process for a couple of minutes until the mixture is smoother.
